AI is the easy part.
Knowing your business
is the craft.
We learn how your business actually runs — the machine that drifts before it fails, the customer who always asks twice, the supplier who only takes email. Then we build software dedicated to you, not another subscription you have to bend your business around.

Same business. Same people.
A different week.
Walking the floor and the inbox to find out what broke overnight.
Copying the same data between three systems that don’t talk to each other.
A quote went out and nobody followed up. The customer went elsewhere.
Chasing spreadsheets from five people to build one report.
Most software is built for everyone.
Yours should be built for you.
Custom software used to mean an enterprise budget and a year of waiting. AI changed that math. Now a business of any size can have a system made for exactly how it works — and that’s what we build.
Built for the average company in your category
Built around how your business actually works
You change your process to fit the tool
The software fits your process — exceptions included
Per-seat pricing for features you’ll never use
Only what solves your problem, nothing to wade through
Five tools that don’t talk to each other
Connected to what you already run: machines, ERP, inbox, books
Your edge gets flattened into a template
Your edge gets written into the system
AI is the engine.
Your business is the map.
Anyone can plug a chatbot into a website. What makes automation actually work is the detail: knowing what normal looks like in your business, which calls only you should make, and where a mistake would cost you.
We listen before we build
The first weeks are spent inside your operation — your systems, your spreadsheets, the exceptions nobody wrote down. The system is shaped by that, not by a template.
AI drafts. A person decides.
Prices, commitments, anything that touches a customer or a machine waits for your OK — one tap from your phone. AI does the watching, the sorting and the remembering.
Built on your rules
Your thresholds, rates, suppliers and policies live as settings you can change. When your business changes, the system changes with it — no rebuild.
We stay after launch
We watch how it runs, catch what feels off, and keep tuning. You get a partner who knows your business, not a black box and a goodbye.
Factory floor or front desk. If it repeats, we can map it.
The industry changes; the method doesn’t. We find where time leaks and things fall through, then build the system that closes the gap — wired into the machines, tools and people you already have.

A painting company in New York, from first message to finished wall.
One example of what dedicated looks like. We asked a simple question — what does the owner do every day that a system could do for them? — and built the answer around how they already worked. A factory would get a completely different system. The method would be the same.
Every inquiry answered, in the company’s own voice.
Instagram DMs and email, handled by an assistant with the company’s name and tone. It gathers rooms, surfaces, sizes and colors naturally — and paces replies like a person, not an instant bot.
- Email gets one complete message, not a drip of questions
- Photos and floor plans read automatically
- Recognizes returning clients and new projects
Hey! Want to paint the living room and both bedrooms. Walls only I think
Love it — three rooms, walls only. Do you know roughly how big each room is? A photo or floor plan works too.

Perfect, that has everything I need. Any colors in mind yet?
Built around one business’s pricing, voice and suppliers — that’s the point.

We don’t.
Lessons from a real build. In a factory it would be a sensor threshold or a part number; here it was wall area and site visits. Different details, same discipline — every one is now a rule the system follows.
Walls aren’t floors.
Paint was being estimated from a room’s floor area. Walls are perimeter × ceiling height, minus the windows — often close to three times the surface. We caught it in review and rebuilt the math before it cost a job.
Floor · 12 × 14
168 sqft
Walls · 9 ft high
438 sqft
“When can we meet at the site?” is not a yes.
A client asked to meet after seeing a quote. Read too eagerly, that becomes an acceptance. Now site visits are their own decision path, and on larger jobs they go straight to the owner.
No “it’s on its way” unless it is.
An assistant that wants to be helpful will reassure. We made it honest instead: it checks the real status, and if a client has to ask twice, the owner hears about it.
Three messages, one answer.
People text in bursts. The system waits a beat, reads everything together and replies once — the way a person would, instead of three robotic answers in a row.
Nothing is ordered without you.
Supplier orders are staged and timed automatically, but none leaves without the owner’s approval. If a price moves after approval, it asks again.
AI with a budget.
Every business gets a daily spending ceiling on AI usage. If it’s ever reached, the system stops and tells us — it never surprises you on an invoice.
Enterprise experience.
Small-team attention.
ctrlAIshift is two people with one habit: understanding the business before touching the technology. One brings years of automating processes at enterprise scale. The other makes sure every system is built from your side of the counter — your customers, your constraints, your way of working.
Together we bring big-company discipline to businesses that never had access to it — without the enterprise price tag, the committees or the year-long timelines. And you work with both of us directly, from the first call to long after launch.

Enterprise automation, made practical

The business side
In your shoes, down to the detail
Starts from how your business actually works, not from the technology. Fluent in both, obsessive about the details, and committed until it’s right.

We start with your week,

Fair things
to ask first.
Why not just buy an off-the-shelf tool?+
If one fits, you should — we’ll tell you. But most businesses end up bending their process around software built for someone else, and paying for five tools that don’t talk to each other. Dedicated software fits how you already work, and AI has made it affordable for businesses that could never justify it before.
Do I need to be technical?+
No. If you can describe how your week goes, that’s all we need. We handle the setup, the integrations and the upkeep.
Will it act without me?+
Only as much as you want. You can start with every action drafted for your approval and loosen it as you build trust. Prices, commitments and anything that touches a machine or a customer come to you.
What happens when it gets something wrong?+
It’s designed to step back instead of guess. When something needs a person, it pauses and alerts you. And we review how it performs every month to catch what it should handle better.
How is pricing structured?+
Fixed-scope phases, each priced up front after the workflow map, plus a monthly retainer for running and improving the system. No per-seat fees, no long lock-in.
Will it work with the tools I already use?+
Yes — that’s the job. We connect to what you already run: machines and PLCs, ERPs, databases, email, messaging and accounting. You don’t switch systems; we make the ones you have work together.
Is my data safe?+
Each business’s data is kept separate, stored on AWS, and only you and your team can see it. We use AI providers that don’t train their models on business data, so your data stays yours.
